We’re not quite sure what has happened with Aaron Black. He played 25 games for North in 2014 and then essentially disappeared from view, drifting in the VFL in 2015 and 2016. He’s now been traded for as close to nothing as you can get without just being a delisted free agent.
Geelong have late picks. They could have traded pick 64, or 72, or 74. This was a conscious decision that he’s worth less than those picks.
Pick 92 comes after the point at which picks likely have literally zero value. Most picks at this point aren’t used, and we’re unsure if North will be the exception to this rule.
Verdict: Black treated like a virtual delisting.
